whats crackin cracka?
Wow, I have RIRs, and they are VERY mellow. My Delawares are the most aggressive, but they don't attack the others that badly. There is no roo in their pen, so not sure what they would do to him if there was.No not a clue. I don't put the bantams and the LF hens together in the same coop for this very reason. I don't know if she pecked him through the wire (probably did). They were completely fine last night. That RIR might meet the freezer soon...if she keeps this up.
I bought these RIR's from several different locations. One is almost 7, the others just over a year. How could I tell if they are production or heritage?Production Reds are very aggressive. Thats why I like the Heritage Reds. Very genital.
I feel the same way about Mammoth! Property was SO cheap when I lived there. Way out of range for me now, for just a vacation home.I dated a girl whose folks owned land in Spotsylvania Co. I could've bought all the land I wanted for $50/acre, but was to young to buy it in my own name and was mad at Dad & wouldn't tell him about it. Should've bought it.

Someone...Dax, I think...wanted to know how your injured bird is.
This is true and usually gets me in trouble.Apparently, I shouldn't say a lot of things. Sometimes things just need said though.

If you want to try to save him, bring him inside where it's warm... 80-85 degrees is ideal for most birds that are ill or in shock.

I am bringing them in now. Luckily it is pretty warm outside
