I went looking for my bag of the new sponges, and found a box of swiffer cloths ( this was very exciting to me

She may not be any good with a broom, but she knows how to use a swiffer mop!!

I ended up raising the humidity a little last night, I was also worried about 10 percent being too low. I have had it staying around 35 percent for the first ten days, with the exception of when I cook or anything, it goes up for a while. I did notice I had one of the eight fertile eggs upside down in the turner

, I corrected it, and then wondered if I should have left it that way

. I still haven't figured out how to download pictures on here from my laptop. I have being hanging out over on "Getting the flock out of here" what a great read!. @Sally Sunshine

I miss Sally. Never get to chat with her anymore. I don't want to pm her because I know she's so busy. :hugs Sally if you read this.

Morning all.

OK, no I didn't go lie down, because I'm keeping an eye on the remaining eggs. One of Jenny's roundish eggs is about halfway zipped (hard to tell if malpositioned vs the air cell going down further than I marked). But now it just keeps pecking at the already open part of the membrane (it's been about an hour or two). I think malpositioned, because it seems to not be able to continue "spinning" its body to extend the zip. I know to WAIT WAIT WAIT, but am watching to see if I need to help. (How long do I wait if stuck mid zip?) All other eggs have externally pipped, at least three are clearly at the wrong end of the egg. Can clearly see movement and enlargement of pips in two of the four, and everyone is working on making those pips bigger (some are upside down, so can't see if actually starting to zip.) I will WAIT WAIT WAIT, but I may need to help.

Dumb question - if I do need to assist, do I put the egg on a warm damp clean towel while working on it? (And I know to keep the membranes moist.)

@Sally Sunshine

The suspense is killing me! How will I survive the shipped egg hatch??!!!

(Edited - forgot to add the photo - the chick keeps poking the beak out of the big slit in the membrane at the same spot...)
