no, I you have plenty of ventilation in it? 

dont unplug it, if you can avoid it,  perhaps you can fold a pc of cardboard and block the eggs in a way?   if its not that powerful it should be ok?  your call you can feel what its giving them. 

I have 36 holes with a 5/16 bit. Wasn't really sure how many I needed or didn't. It looked like a lot. I taped one right behind the fan because it was making the temp wonky.

Ok, I'll try a bit of cardboard. I was worried about chicks getting in the fan anyway.

Ok, humidity is at 45%, halfway through day 18. Did I remember you say you waited for internals to raise humidity or did I make that up? To 60%?

I am so glad you came and got him. I loved that boy but my flock rejected him so harshly. I'm hoping his babies develope the same personality that he has. I did NOT want to have to put him in the freezer.

I just took another pic of him, sans hardware cloth, but it don't want to upload right. He's a real pleasure to be around. Turned him out for the 1st time this morning. When I couldn't see him or his ladies through the window, I went to make sure of where they were. Found him & all but one hen with him, up close to the southern foundation, enjoying the radiated heat off the concrete. Other hen was in the coop, doing what layers do when roosters aren't hot on their tail.

I bet they are loving that. Mine are all out enjoying the sun today too. Dust baths and sunbathers galore! I'm sure he'll stick with the ladies. Just watch him at bedtime.

if my air cells are on track I raise it from 60 to 70-75 with externals

I think people will find both cases very interesting. The one that died had a huge impacted crop, but that was not why she died. I am partially to blame for her death because I kept tubing fluids to her, which I think caused some cardio/pulmonary issues from the quantity of fluids, but I'll never know for sure. However, the underlying problem was a bowel obstruction. Her bowel was thickened with scare tissue and a little infection and it was constricted so that only small amounts of feces could pass.

The repro tract hen is still alive, but I suspect that she will eventually die from infection, but as of yesterday she was eating, drinking and looking 100% normal.

Im scared to do any type of tube feeding myself but atleast you gave it a go and tried thats all you can really do is just try your best and see what happens , im sorry for that your dealing with this , but thank you for sharing your findings for sure , maybe she will pull through ,expect the worst ,hope for the best is what i always say

You're better off with fewer eggs and good incubation conditions.

Yes, I had them in uglybator, but something went wrong, and my temps shot up to 110. So this is a salvage attempt with the mini and cracking uglybator.

Two have hatched so far with two well on the way. One seems quite weak but the other is drying up, stomping around the incubator like a little dinosaur.

Oh how fun!!! What kind of incubator is that??? Do you like it?
