Than how'd you come up with gaps?
In the pics you just posted, was that small door on the side for eggs or cleanout?

I'm considering hinging he lower portion of one side, end to end, for cleanout...easier to get everywhere w/o reaching into hard-to-get-at corners. Whatcha think?
Have you guys seem campingshaws coop!! Beautiful and made with pallets.
I saw it a while back

Chicken door is at the front. The big side door where the whole thing opens up is to add food, water and cleanout. Egg door is on the back. Having the side open up is wicked awesome. Makes it easy to shovel everything out.

Exactly what I'm thinking
I've got small doors on either end; can get to eggs from either, though it's not meant for layers, anyway.

Well than I'd suggest that next time you find the straight ones :tongue

Ohhhhhhhh where's a pic of that other coop made with pallets??

your not even funny
At least you can take a joke now.

I built a pallet coop; tore it apart. Too much trouble to close up the gaps, & I don't own a planer.

'Cause the edges aren't always straight?
You probably needed more pallets so you could use more boards to screw onto the gaps. More insulation that way as well.
I don't mind gaps. It helps ventilation. It's when the gaps are over 1/2" that mink and weasels can squeeze in that they become a problem.
