I went to bed, and was too warm. I went to open the window, and it fell out. It's one of those "easy clean" ones. I got it back into the track, but it won't stay open now. The only thing I had handy was a Harley Davidson photo frame. I just hope the frame doesn't break, and the window doesn't fall back out!
Now I have a stupid fly in my bedroom.
Music: Brahms’ Lullaby (Wiegenlied, Op. 49-4), Brahms
Lyrics: Richard Perlmutter
I can’t sleep
I can’t sleep
There’s a fly in my bedroom
And it’s buzzing all around
That’s the reason I can’t sleep
Wish it would let me be
And would not make a peep
But it flies over me
And that’s why I can’t sleep
I can’t sleep
I can’t sleep
There’s a fly on my finger
Now it’s crawling up my arm
That’s the reason I can’t sleep
If it would fly away
I could start counting sheep
But that fly’s here to stay
And that’s why I can’t asleep
I can’t sleep
I can’t sleep
There’s a fly on my pillow
And it’s humming it in my ear
And that’s why I cannot sleep
But I dream that the fly
Has a voice soft and deep
Singing Brahms Lullaby
I am fine’ly asleep
