I too have the same problem I think the insects that are cought on it attract them Once I have rescued a Gecko from it!Golly, it's slow! So... some pictures. Here's the EHAL boys' growout tractor coop, renovation in progress (added bedding, but needed to swap out the tarp, add shade cloth, and add a roosting platform that proved hard to measure and fit in the existing structure due to the angles of the conduit).After several trims and fits, I got the roosting platform in place FINALLY, with Gorilla tape over the seam. Added Sweet PDZ, hung the feeder and waterer chains, and then gave up for the night.
THIS is what happens when it rains uncontrollably and you've been too busy with chicken stuff to tend the front of your house. Beauty berry, roses, rangoon creeper, hoja santa, lemon balm and chile pequins all vying for the right to take over my house. Roses currently about 7-8 feet high, beauty berry is up to about 14 ft. There's also mouse melon that is growing as a weed and actually attempting to crawl through the door - had to beat it and the lemon balm back today...
Finally, can't remember if it was here where I asked about fly control. I got the FlyStick, recommended by someone. Works great, but you know how they warn that it's so sticky it can also catch/stick to small birds? Um, yeah...
Trying to work my way thorough my freezer inventory to make sure I get to anything that's older - found some locally made German bratwurst rattling around in there, so that's for dinner with homemade cheese and mustard. Yum!!!!! - Ant Farm
