I woulda ate the chicken too.

Sold the fox/skin and either made bread to eat and sell or sell the grains outright
Plant the grains so you'll have more grain.

Ballut is food to them. Just because I won't eat it doesn't mean it's not food.

good point

Well three days of vacation has been fun, but today I have to work on my four three foot deep holes I have to dig in SW Missouri Rock. Yuck. I mentioned hating to get out my rock bar and they did not even know what that was, which I totally envied and wished I didn't live where it is a necessity.
What airport are you flying in and out of? Joplin or Springfield?

O no!!
The metabolic syndrome ringing a bell? Diabetes type 2? Hige triglycerides? fatty liver? Cyrosis ?are ALL conectected to carbohydrates, grains and especially the Wonderful and tasty combination of fats and carbs! You ALL should reduce the grain consumption to the minimum! For your helth!
My father-in-law always had to have dessert after each meal. Diabetes now.

This chick is from our 4/16 (ish) hatch. I looked at different threads to post and ask for possible help on identifying the breed, but there are so many different threads, I wasn't sure where to ask.
Any ideas? It came from a bunch of mixed eggs, but it doesn't look like any of the others. And it thinks it's a turkey- coloring is just like our bronze turkeys that have been raised with it. It's always hanging out with the turkeys.

It's definitely a chicken.
I had eggs from EEs, White Plymouths, Australorps, Golden Lakenvelder, Dominique, and assorted Naked Necks.
My guess is that it is a cross of something, I'm just not sure what.

From that list, likely a Dominique or a cross.

I flew out of Springfield this time, but boy have they raised their parking. I am flying out of Fayetteville next month. I refuse to use Joplin again. Last time I was scheduled out of there they told us an hour before that our flight was cancelled because of weather in Dallas. The cancellation was one thing, but come to find out they had cancelled the afternoon flight for three days in a row and there were no flights out for three days. They offered flights out of Springfield or Fayetteville, but no way to get there or compensation. If it had been one flight or day that is one thing, but if you have nothing for three days or more, the least they could have done is bussed us to either of the two airports an hour or so away. The business people and others like me with no way to get to the other airport and then fly on return to Joplin. I wrote them with a pathetic we are not responsible for weather response. So I told them count me out. I would not pay extra for Joplin again.
