I had an eight month old heifer somehow stick her head into the smaller hole under the main hole in the round bale feeder. Stupid heifer cost me a ton. I had to give her a mild sedative and then we had to cut the feeder to get her out. $$

That's a pleasure I've yet to experience. All my birds have been mature when I got them. Well, not quite...I hatched 3 last year, but lost them. and the five 2 week olds in the brooder now.

Me too. I was surprised she calmed a bit for me, and I was able to get her a shot before she killed herself or me. I guess all the handling time mine get a weaning pays off, but the old cowboys say mine are pets not cows
