So sorry

@BantyChooks
I swear to tell you that the ducklings are parenting the chicks.

Don't be too offended with what they are drinking. I was still filling the other bowl.
And I am not forgetting the chicks can drown. However, they are five-weeks-old, and should know better by now!
Aww that's so cute!

So, you can just cut it in half lengthwise and have twice as much. Then you can step over.

BTW, I feel your pain on the short legs.
I had an uncle Russell that was very short. When I was young, my mom and her sisters would get together. I occasionally overheard their conversations. My aunt said, "My Russell is a tall man, he just has short legs." Her sisters couldn't stop laughing.

I understand, too, being only a little taller than 5' (pleeeease do not misinterpret that as 5 inches; I'm short enough already!

Well it's been a week and I am 4,000+ posts behind so I am not doing a read back. Anyone want to sum up the last week and give me any of the helpful info that was posted??
Umm ... sorry I can't remember. But welcome back!

"Vertically challenged" people have certain advantages the rest of us don't; they're the first to know when it floods, and the last to know when it rains

One advantage: you appreciate every inch of your stature! I can't think of anything else. I hate being short!

Updating: @Sally Sunshine

I candled the Silkie/Sizzle/Showgirl eggs I sat on the 7th last night. 5 are developing, 2 had blood rings and 3 were clear. Then I opened my coop this morning to discover I have another broody (she makes 4), so she got my incubator eggs :/ I'm collecting another batch for myself, probably just in time for another hen to go all clucky, I think I have another broody in the works :th
