Beautiful day, checked all the bands on my 3 oldest groups, my 3 youngest don't have bands on yet but I decided what to put on who and wrote it down and bagged up the bands. Chicks are supposed to hatch tomorrow and I'm panicking because no ones pipped yet and I'm used to mix breeds from this year who all wanted to hatch a day early. I think I finally got the humidity up I really need to make a note of what's perfect for which incubator. The other is due next week and I'm not sure how evenly they're developing and my hen is still on 6 eggs but she doesn't act broody. Runs around and all that but most of the day she's on the eggs so they might really hatch we will see. I can't figure out what's wrong with my hen still though... She visibly looks a little better but very sleepy and lathargic? She's in isolation still. I do hope she's ok... Hopefully though I will get the bands on the 17 birds that they'll stay on and that'll leave this years chicks which are soon getting bantam bands. I'm a dork and our birds all have names but this year we are going to have a small free range flock and they'll be numbered I don't know how I'm going to pick out the ones like which birds and I'm hoping they do ok :-/

Does this look like labor? She's usually the first one to the door looking for treats, but she's laying down and hanging around by the pop door.

I wonder if you can see contractions with them? @mlm Mike

Maybe in my point i should have added parents managing while NOT on depression meds, narcotics, drinkers,or "supplements" aka as crank heads. Or chugging 3pots of coffee a day.

Quote: well I resemble that, and I started luke on the desktop with kids learning games at 2 as soon as he could comprehend the mouse, and he is very smart about some things that will be very important in their gen at some time. HOWEVER, my kids are also outdoorsy kids and also play reg board games and have some very good imaginations.
