This is duckweed. I know my chickens LOVE it and it's loaded with protein, but i didn't want it, didn't plan on it. I had it in my fish tank about 6 months ago and thought I had eradicated it. I was wrong. Friday, my tank looked like this...



This morning it looked like this...




I had thought about growing it in outside buckets, but the trouble I"m going to have getting rid of it in my tank is not worth having it anywhere near my house...

You can almost WATCH it duplicate.

It is good for ponds and lakes, but bad for fish tanks. But yes, I would think it would be a problem to fish under it. My fish don't eat it. But the chickens LOVE it. But they eat most anything.

I should grow some for the chickens ... I shouldn't ever run out of food!
