When I walked an owner through their new home there was a tiny tiny spider on the floor and she screamed so badly I seriously thought she or her daughter was hurt. I simply put some tape on it folded it up and flushed it.

I may hate spiders, but I'm not that terrified of them!

Electric fly zapper no home should be without one.

Sounds terrific..... But don't they have enormous spiders?

Oh wait..... There are enormous spiders here too..... Like the one on the chicken coop door last night I nearly touched.

I have a tall A frame coop - and the whole top is one big spider web. I would HATE to go in there at night.

I lived in Samoa for a year (many years ago) and the flying cockroaches were bad, but the VERY LARGE, YELLOW, FUZZY spider that was in the shower one day almost sent me home. Centipedes were nasty as well, but I only saw one of those....

I'm glad you NEARLY touched it last night!!!

Same with my coop. I NEVER look up or I'd be terrified..... I don't linger very long while closing them up- just long enough to count them and say goodnight.

Yes. Nearly is much better!! It was right on the door handle too....

Doesn't sound broken, but, then, I'm no doctor...didn't even play one on TV
I don't think its broken either..... I broke my arm last year (same side & same place where it hurts now, hence my concern over re-injuring it.... One can only break the same spot so many times before recurrent problems happen) and I nearly didn't make it through the night w/o painkillers.... It swelled to nearly twice its side, and I couldn't rotate it at all.

Probably just ANOTHER muscle strain...... I swear some days I need to be in a padded room!

Though I'd probably manage to fall on my head and break my neck......

Padded room.......me to...

FWIW, I saw an episode of Naked & Afraid where the cave they wanted to shelter in was home to a lot of Black Widow spiders. They tossed a lit torch in & the spiders vacated...evidently spiders don't like smoke. Just don't burn your coop down.
My coop NEEDS to get burned down...... Impossible to clean..... It was made as a playhouse, and wasn't converted with a lot of forethought..... It will have to get replaced int the next 5 yrs; maybe sooner, depending how much snow falls and how many more trees fall on it...... Hmmmm.... If I rebuild it, I can add on a goat shed!

Could wait till it hits 100*

I should!

Not really.

I flicked almost all the shell off & have been keeping the white thick membrane wet. There is a clear sack like thing between the white and the duckling. I can't open it any more because there are some veins still. Not sure what to do..

May I ask why you removed the shell?

Yes, as long as its elevated, not much (hence why I don't think it is broken- Probably a muscle thing), and I can use my fingers (but I can't bear weight or move suddenly,) hence why I'm still on BYC- Typing with one hand is a pain in the rear!

Slipped on a plastic bag, nothing heroic like saving my chickens from a fox......

I can believe that, sorry..... Need a home for one or two??? :D

If it's a pain in the rear, you're doing it wrong!!

Electric fly zapper no home should be without one. :yesss:

I have two! :D
