Quote: Hatching usually isn't so bad, you were just thrown into unexpectedly.

The tale of the abandoned eggs.

They were internally pipped (a day from hatch) last Wednesday when Lagertha abandoned her nest. They were cold overnight and then Cinder has been off and on since then. Today I checked and she was on a dead chick and two cheeping eggs. So I put the two in the incubator. Then the power went out.

I came home from picking up the littles and there's a very cold, fully hatched chick! The power is back on, so we'll see how the other goes. :fl
