Already have 2x6 block on each corner to do the same thing. Too heavy to lift high enough to get it up to the blocks. Wife helped me set the 1st one, which was closer to the ground...she's only 4' 10"
Could ya set them on the wife and then tell her to stand up?

Thank you for reminding me that I need to finish it tonight!
You're welcome.

If you're talking about laying on a pitched roof, pulling the sheet up, & putting a nail in the top, I wouldn't try that on a flat roof, let alone a pitched roof...not that much weight

We used to nail a tripod ledge of sorts to the frame with two 2/4 running out of the building. This would support several pieces. At a height of almost 1/4 of the board above the roof edge. Grabbing the next piece and standing on the roof we would swing the piece onto the roof. Nowadays the guys have a huge lift that puts the entire stack on the roof.

The end closest end is what I'm working on. Already have one nailed in place, except for what I need to move the ladder to reach. I can set the bottom of the next one up onto the blocks & maybe rig a harness for the top end & use a pulley on a rafter to raise it...not sure

Thanks for the well wishes earlier. Today sucked ***... no other way to say it.

Have to go for MRI on Tuesday on my hand and wrist. Missing another day of work tomorrow & Sunday without pay and in to do "desk duty" aka paperwork until i am cleared. Then come home to the serama I was gonna show who's comb tuned blue and lethargic. Gave him vitamins per my breeder and isolated him from other birds. Hoping it is just a vitamin deficiency and not his heart. He's eating and drinking good now but the back of his comb is still dark. But at least he made me feel useful-I got to take care of somebody and he puked on me after the vitamins just like one of my patients would lol! Kitty is home from the vet and doing well and all the other birds and pets seem happy and healthy. And the shed people called-new coop getting installed on Halloween! I'm going to separate my layers from my ornamentals or use the existing coop with run for my breeding projects (seramas still get the 3rd car part of the garage). Guess I will look at the bright side and enjoy the weekend off and hope there is no torn ligaments or tendons... PS I got a kick out of all the biting stories. We don't have kids but a little granny with dementia is good for a chomp about once a month on the ER so I feel your pain

Like I said I don't have kids so sometimes words just fly around here. I have to maintain cool at work & I think I have a case of cabin fever on top of it all. But my Serama "Stan" is still alive. He tore into some mealworms & I put them all to bed-which is where I am headed now. Good night everyone and thanks for sharing all the cute pics of you feathered famiies and all the helpful hints. It makes being "cooped up" a lot better
