incubation help needed asap!

No other pips. She's not fully fluffy. Cord looks pretty dry. What is corn starch for? Should I just cut it right where it's stuck to thermometer to be safe?

The corn starch would be if it was seeping I believe. Maybe granny will chime in, I have only done it once and the cord was completely dry and my concern was that the other chicks would peck and pull at it... when I did it I cut it pretty close to the navel.

corn starch in case of bleeding. stops it pretty good. dip it if it bleeds. it shouldnt but just as i say that, it may. you should cut where it looks the driest. dont worry, it will be ok, it might break off when you pick it up.

like the shoe, just do it ! lol the reason i have done it a few times is because i have no patience.they start there zip and im right on it. lol terrible. i love it.
