Incubation Procedure Help (STARTING TOMORROW)

Leaving way too much to chance to expect a novice to be able to correctly manage shipped eggs. Yes, they should be allowed to settle for at least 12 hours. Read all of hatching eggs 101 in the learning center before incubating eggs. There's a wealth of information there.
I know... I bought the eggs with a ship date of the 26. The person that Purely Poultry sells for shipped them early by mistake. I am improvising.

In the incubator, yes, I much prefer them laying on their sides as shown in the picture. What I meant was when you let them rest before putting them in, make sure that the thick side is up. Sorry that wasn't clear!

You shouldn't need to add any water in the bator. If it got down to 25%, then add a small amount. I find it's best around 30-38% until lockdown.

I am in Texas, and inside my home is generally at 55% humidity.

So I assume when you say big end up, you do not mean this? I showed my friend this but can tell them differently if I am wrong. @featheredplanets told me above that they have to be laying down for this incubator.

The way the Janoel 12 is designed means the eggs can't be standing upright, you can get incubators which have egg trays in which the eggs are upright. When you get the eggs you should leave them with the pointy end down and fat end up for at least 12 hours, I prefer 24 hours. Then you can put them in the incubator, they'll have to be laying down in the Janoel unless you hand turn them in an egg carton

Thank you everyone. One last question, are there consequences to me leaving the eggs big side up at room temp from Tuesday afternoon - Friday night?

How long is the shipping, I think hatch-ability starts to decrease 5 days after laying but I have heard people say they hatched eggs up to 2 weeks old.

I think you'd be fine adding very little water, or even none. Candle at a week (or when you get back) and see what you have and adjust accordingly.

If the eggs were shipping very fresh, you can wait a few days to set but tbh if it were me I'd just set them. I've let shipping eggs sit and if the cells were messed up, they stayed that way.
