Oh, that is so ugly!I mean, it makes me feel so bad! I hope I don't have any like that...I'm not strong enough to take it!
I am having a heck of a time with the humidity! It's still low - on BOTH hygometers! Currently, 40%. I put another (#2) sponge in. I think part of my problem, obviously, is controlling HOW WET the sponges are! Even three that are just slightly wet aren't helping the humidity...but if I make them wringing wet, even one puts it over 80%! I have to find the right combination.
By the way, #5 is still peeping and making the little "clicking" sound like Peeper was.
Sure, we can call this one a "he." I just don't WANT any males, heck, with under an acre of land, I don't know why I even incubated these as I will have to find homes for any over maybe 2 females! Our male is slightly dominant toward our hens (not quite aggressive, but not very nice most of the time!), and I sure as heck don't want more males! Calling the ducklings "she" is just wishful thinking!
How did you handle taken pics of "her". Those were pretty graphic. That's what they should look like when hatching that's actually a clean escapee.. Well then will call number 5 ducky loll are you taken Number 5 out? Please don't touch ducky we need IT to be safe and sound, hopefully tomorrow will see improvements, like a bigger hole. Right now ducky can breath and can aim for that hole....
