Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Just checked the bottle - says it expired . Still using it for the parakeets, canaries, doves, and finches.

FYI - just candled 11 (on day 35). The inner membrane is pipped, we can hear the rhythmic beat (turns out that's BREATHING, according to the website Kathy sent the link to yesterday), and see lots of movement, including the beak pecking at the shell. Should we make a safe hole, or wait?

Candled 12, 13 and 14, which are all also in lockdown. Don't see any movement.

NOPE lets let him go, we don't want to rush them.. Lets see what he does in the next 24 hours. Sounds like he will do it all on his own. We have all our settings back on track, no need to rush them from here on, He will hear the others and I bet he will speed things up to see what the heck is going on outside that shell, He'll want to join the party..

That's one reason I like the Nutri drench it can be given straight. not sure about poly vi sol.

Yes polyvisol can be giving straight they don't particular like the taste so I will mix mine with a little bit of water.

If it would be better to get the polyvisol, my husband will run out and do it. We want to get any errands done this morning, though, because we are supposed to get another 6 inches of snow today! ARGH!

Polyvisol needs to be without Iron, but it doesn't say on the label, So what you have to do is there will be TWO kinds of Polyvisol, one will say Polyvisol with Iron and the other will just say Polyvisol. As long as Iron isn't on the label your GOOD..

Now if you have a tractor supply they have these packets, Vitamins and Electrolytes, you can mix both of them together and give that little guy shock of both in one dropper.

With respect to those that make their own, I use pedialyte or plain water.

I would get something fresh. The stuff made for poultry is very expensive here, i would get polyvisol, but really it's up to you whichever is better/easier/cheaper for you.
