My broody hen has been sitting faithfully for many, many weeks. She is on Day 17 with the eggs. I candled all of them and threw out duds on Monday. I also have 4 eggs in the incubator which are exactly one day behind her eggs. Tonight, I went out to the coop and two eggs were pushed out into her broody pen run. Out and to the side. I brought them in, candled them and the chicks are alive. I put them in the incubator, but now my hatch dates for the incubator are off. Do I stop the auto turner/increase humidity a day early to account for the two that should hatch sooner? Should I lockdown one day early? Day 21 is Sunday for the hen and Monday for the incubator. The last time a broody hen sat, her eggs started hatching at the end of Day 19.

Yes, lockdown early. I have been in the same situation removing early hatchers, and have also left them in for close to three days.

Agreed, lock down early. I think it's something like day 12 is the last day they really need to turn, locking down on day 16-17 is no big deal.
