Incubator frustration

anyone else have issues with overflow in the little giant incubator when the auto turner is in? I can never seem to put the right amount in and I get water all in the floor since I can't see the channels. Any solutions out there?

Have you tried just using a sponge? I've mark the channels on the edge with a marker for each side and put a sponge in the big part, or you can use airline tubing going to the sponge and put water in the airline tubing.

I've heard of people putting food coloring in the water. No idea how it affects the eggs.
