I’ve heard something about 2-3 tablespoons of water is enough for an incubator but i wanted to know 1. If it was true 2. How often do i add water?. I have 2 humidity sensors that have temp reader included and they both say almost the same humidity but I’ve heard they are unreliable so I don’t want to rely on them so much.

Hygrometers can be salt-tested for accuracy. Humidity varies by location and species of egg being hatched. So short answer is there’s not a set measurement that’s one-size fits all.

It really depends on the size of the incubator and how much ventilation it has.

I have two big igloo coolers, different models setup in a similar way, and one takes about 20 oz of water and the other takes about 40 oz of water so even small differences changes things.

It’s this one so it’s Kinda small but I’ve been adding 2 tablespoons getting up to 40 or 50 humidity

It’s a humidity sensor. So im not sure if i can test it that way but I’ll definitely check. But i live in NC and the eggs are pretty small, they’re from a gamefowl chickens but i got it at 40-50% humidity.
