Incubator is to hot

I raise betta fish. I would know if three degrees isn't much for better below freezing in a fish aquarium. Chickens is life or death I understand. What if the incubator can't get ventilation holes or a fan. Then a new one. Is needed.

Yeah so new incubator.
Hey, you do you according your skills and resources.. also thought process. ;)

For ME a wafer thermostat for $25 or even a digital one for $33 is a LOT more doable than a new bator.. which I personally JUST spent $150 on the nurture right 360.. and WISH I hadn't gotten rid of my perfectly good hova bators.. 1602N and 1588 genesis.. So new is NOT always the best answer or even better.. Sometimes, we MUST improvise.

Adding a fan won't correct too high of a temperature.. in fact it makes the issue worse.. forced air bators (aka fan) should run around 99.5, and still air should be at 101.5 measured at the top of the eggs.

That's why I asked for photos and other details.. so I could try to give accurate information.. 3 degrees maybe no big deal for a developed animal.. it's a huge deal for an embryo.. especially if one's reading happen to also be off somehow... I have hatched hundreds of chicks.. had power outages and temperature spikes.. So I will say it's TRUE.. life does find a way no matter how much we try to mess it up sometimes! :jumpy:jumpy
