Guineas like to be in pairs,I have 3 pairs. To sex guineas look at the waddles, large hanging down are boys. Girl's waddles are smaller and point back. The girl voice says buckwheat buckwheat. The boys says shiddy

Sounds are the only way to sex them accurately. I was talking about sexing young keets. I still can't sex mature ones either. Small numbers of guinea might pair off if you have 3-4 males and 3-4 females. I don't have small numbers... usually. I had 26 and they didn't pair off. I have 8 left after fights between males killing BOTH and dogs eating them and predators unknown. The 8 stay together as a flock, they don't pair off.

I had a great day today. My first sale of birds. Got rid of 27 excess birds and freed up a ton of space. You know what that means? Buy more eggs of course.

I have Swedish Flower hens in the incubator but I'd really like to get some good Basques. I had only one and she was a total delight. Not afraid. Walk right up to me. But she was "culled" by a predator.

They excel in hatching and the heat (coming from Spain). And the eggs ship well I hear. I sold all my egg layers. The rest I kept won't be laying for a couple of months. I have to BUY.

Got 4/6 running around, another about to pop out.... Yay chickens

The last seems to have stalled, i quickly opened the lid and chucked in 2 moist paper towels incase the membrane had begun to harden, also filled the bath with hot water to bump the room humidity right up. I'll consider helping later on tonight
