Turmeric and fish oil are two of the best anti inflammatories. I take both every day as well. Or else my hands and face swell like sausages.

If you are inclined, you can give your duck 0.25 mL of children’s ibuprofen 2X a day also. It decreases inflammation as well. But I wouldn’t do it long term. The turmeric and fish oil can be long term.

Always been told to use aspirin... never heard Ibuprofen before.

My vet said aspirin and ibuprofen only as last resorts for waterfowl. She prescribes a different anti inflammatory / painkiller.

Yes aspirin and ibuprofen are over the counter. If you have a vet that can prescribe you something like meloxicam, that would be better.

Yes I used all three of the anti inflammatories I listed above in my Pekin who had a huge ankle. She would sit when not walking somewhere. Now she can walk like normal. Before I tried those, she was limping for a month or two.
