Pick them up that's one way to hear a quack..I took a real good look today and I don't see any curled up feathers, so maybe ducks?? Also mine are not very vocal even with the chickens messing with them. When will they make noise???

Gosh, thinking I am replying a wee bit late..Indian runners are def good egg layers, the eggs I get when they are cleaned up are kind of a minty green color, roughly about the size of a decent chicken egg. They do not put themselves to bed like Chickens do (nice thing about chickens)..usually I am out there with my pool noodle herding them in along with the other duckies..for our runner, took awhile before we figured out which she was..if a loud voice doesn't give it away then the curl in the tail feather (4 months of age???) should help. The curl in the tail is much like the ones you would see on a Pekin male, definite curl..Must say, I am enjoying the yard since getting my ducks, haven't seen a slug since and they take care of the spiders too which is appreciated!
I would keep ducklings away from adults at first. Separate them with temporary fence (that they cannot get under or over) so they can see each other, but don't let them alone together until the ducklings are as tall as the adults. Then start to introduce them slowly, with supervision. Will my idian runners kill my magpie ducklings
