I"m not sure he can even make it for $500. A man down the road sells just the coop for $1,400. and still has people wanting them. and this one incudes the wire run and a roof.

I can't make guess either, I made 7 chicken tractors last year (nothing like this) and so I have an idea what it costed me, and mine are arent' near this one.

I should be able to come.. depends on if dad forgets he planned something or he changes his mind the day before... put me on the list. I dont know what I will bring yet.

Do let us know what the final cost will be. There is someone in Missouri that is selling a somewhat similar coop (minus the run on the side), and he's selling his for $700.

Ok, I told my neigbors across the street about Chickenstock, and they are possibly interested in coming with me. It would be my neighbor and her 12 year old daughter. The daughter, Erica, she shows her birds in 4-H. She raises some nice, show quality birds, and she asked me to ask around and see what people were planning to bring as she is looking to get a few specific breeds. I figured it can't hurt to put it out there that someone is interested in buying. Might be possible that you'll make a pre-sale, right? Ok, here it goes:

These are what she is interested in:

Pure Americaunas, NOT EE's
a White Salmon Faverolle roo (she has a hen and is looking for a roo)
Porcelain d'Uccle pair
Sebright pair
Golden Duckwing Phoenix pair
White Bantam Cochin pair
Cayuga duck hen
Showgirl hen
Buff Silkie pair
Wheaten American Game pair
Salmon Faverolle pair
Silver Duckwing OEG hen

Now, this is a 12 year old little girl, not an adult mind you, so she is definitely on a fixed income, lol, but she is VERY responsible and has raised her own birds for about 7 years now with minimal help from her parents. Very smart, chicken saavy little girl. She thinks she might bring some Bantam Cochins if she and her mom do decide to make the trip down with me. She is also one of the top guinea breeders in our area. People at 4-H come to Erica if they want guineas. Me personally, I don't like the birds, lol. But she has pretty ones. She might have some eggs to sell or trade too, I'll ask her. If anyone has anything that she is looking for at a reasonable price, or might want to trade with her, let me know and I will tell her. She is now super excited about Chickenstock, lol. Now, to convince her and her mom to join BYC...lol!

Edited to adjust what my neighbor's daughter was asking for. Apparently I missed a few, and got a few others backwards, lol. But this is what she is asking for. So I'm putting my ear to the ground for her. : )
