As of right now it's just a "maybe". Yes they are all whites and my boy Kernal has been picking fights with my bantam wyandotte roo Bubba. Kernal and 1 of his hens Krispy are over 2 years old and they were my first birds ever. The other hen Iona is just about a year and a half old and is the daughter of Kernal and my beloved Sandy who is no longer with us. In the winter they must have a heated coop and can't stay out long because of their combs. Kernal and Krispy live inside the house down in the basement. If I do decide to rehome them I want to make sure they have everything they need because they are my big babies.. but as right now it's a maybe..

Where abouts do you live at?

Just wanted to throw this out there...Would anyone be interested in bringing hotdogs or burgers or chicken

for the grill. I know not everyone eats pork and want to make sure we have a variety. I ordered our hog today, it is 170 pounds!

We will have a hog roaster dedicated to the pig and will have 2 extra charcoal grills for people to utilize!!

I'm hoping we can make it this year, since I didn't get to last year

I'm in need of a young-ish roo, so I'll look to see what y'all have. I'll bring some food, but won't have anything to swap... still in the process of building up my flock. I have 62 pullets/hens and 1 roo. My other roo hung himself on my tomato line the other day. I don't think Lenny can keep up with all the hens!! 27 of the 62 are month old pullets, so I've got a little while to get another roo.

I'm wondering if I can talk by boys into coming to the chicken swap instead of King's Island that day...

Glad you might be able to make it!! I will get ya on the list, let me know if that changes. Hopefully we can meet this year

I live in Evansville, but I think your birds are a little too high maintenance for me!

I do not have a heated coop, nor will I have chickens wintering in my basement. I DO have an insulated coop and all roos and any hens with large combs get vaseline treatments when the weather gets cold. I would love to have them but I don't think you will approve me for the adoption.
