We spoil our pets here so I know a Serama would do well with us. My Foghorn is a white sex-link. I got her at TSC the same time I got my 3 other sex-links. Hubs picked them out and we thought Foghorn was going to be a rooster. We knew so little then. Well Foghorn is just so mellow and sweet. She can peck the other ones at time, but she does well as a house chicken at times. I had to nurse her back to health about 2 months ago and she stayed inside for 3 days and 3 nights.

You 2 did very well. You seemed natural. They rush things to quickly. They rush the important and interesting things and spend all the time in the world on frivolous things. $10 isn't too bad to have a hard copy of your tv debut.

I still have 1 Phoenix Rooster left If anybody is interested in a trade. It don't have to be poultry, I could really use a wireless mouse for my computer. Waterers are always a demand around here for the birds. Something I realy need is an automatic turner for quail eggs. Quail egg trays would be real handy too. We could use some doe rabbits. I don'tknow the breed of what we have but one is white and big and the other is a cinamon color and a tad smaller. Neither are lop eared. We want them to breed for meat.
I'll be bringing some chicks. Either take them all for trade or .50 each

1 Phoenix mix cockerel
several Silkie/EE mix
EE's
Production red/EE
And a couple I have no idea but one is black with some white on it and the other is red but not a RIR. The eggs came from an auction and only the 2 hatched.

I'll have an EE rooster for free. I'm not really sure if he's an EE but that is what I've been told. First he was an Americauna but the previous owner just wanted to get rid of him I think. When she brought him over he looks nothing like an Americauna. He'd had a very rough life at his previous home but has grown all his feathers back and his tail feathers are growing nicely now. He's not mean at all and is gentle on the girls. He will keep other roosters away from his girls though. Since he was used as the hen before and now he is the "man of the house" he's pretty proud of that fact. He has dignity and self-esteem now. No if somebody has some mixed hens and just wants a protector for them, he's your roo. He is also fertile because some of the chicks I have he fertilized. I'm getting an Americauna cockerel at CS and he will replace Buddy. So Buddy will need a new home. He's a big rooster also.

I wish I could see it. I have dial up and I think it's the slowest there is. I ws very lucky to be able to watch the short video on how to process quail. I'm sure you did very well though.

Unfortunately, it looks like I will have to miss this year's festivities. Something has come up which may preclude me from attending. Hope everyone has a great time.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know we have had one thing after another happen in the past few days. It seems everytime I really want to go some where something happens and I can't go. I'm determined I'm going. AFter all. People are needing some cages and have deals made on some trading that i'm vry much looking forward to. Besides, this is just my cup of tea. I'd rather go to an even like this than any fair or carnival, even flea market.
