INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Here are my lavender ameraucanas I just got today
400

I plan to breed them when they are old enough.

Here are some pics of the pullets I got the other day, plus a few I already had.

My rose comb brown leghorn pullets. I have 2 and yesterday I got 2 eggs! I just give the eggs to my sister, because I dont like eggs, but I get so excited when I have chickens start to lay. Because I like collecting the eggs. I love these brown leghorns. I wish I would of got the other too. They are so sweet. They talk my ear off. They are silent until they see me and they comb running and just start chattering away. They like to follow me around too! Some of the friendlest chickens I have had. They are great!

My salmon favorelle pullet that I already had. (blurry pic)

All the cochins girls together

one of the black cochins

one of my russian orloff pullets, that I already had

The blue cochin pullet

These are the ones that were sold to me as black stars, but I know they arent. They look like dark cornish to me, btu there legs arent very thick. What do you guys think?

CCCCCCCCCHICKENS- they all look great! How's the other faverolle doing? The orloff looks great! Do you know their sex yet? Just curious how they turned out. The one does look like a hatchery Cornish to me as well.

thanks! My SF with the toen tendon died :(. She was improving quite a bit and I had been gone about 6 six hours and came backand she had died some time when I was gone. She had food and water and was eating and drinking when I left, I dont really know what went wrong. But at least I still have my other girl, she is really nice. She just lets my pick her up with one had and dosent even try to get away. Thanks again lol! The are both pullets as far as I can tell. The one is a little agressive but when I introduced the new chickens it quickly fell towards the bottom of the pecking order. And you can barley see their comb, it isnt red, and you cant see their wattles. I thought the same thing, the person I got them from said they got them from a hatchery. They ordered black stars and got some black stars and these. There were only 2 I bought both, I like the way they look. But they are very flighty and put all the other chickens in their place and make sure they stay there.

Just thought I would throw this in:  the "Cruella" pigeon belongs to LittleAmericanaMom's daughter.  If not, I saw one just like it at her house!

That would make sense that they are showing. I haven't seen them posting here lately and I bet they are really busy with the fair. We might have met them today without knowing!

So we have sand in our run and we love it because it is clean, but today I picked up my blue silkie and her crop felt like a beanbag. Like it was full of sand. I gave them some fruit that had gotten soft and it was in the sand. Did she maybe just get too much sand with her scratch and fruit. What do you all think? She is acting fine. Her crop just feels weird.
I really need help here guys. Please. And thank you.
