on the CLs!!!!!
With the CLs you should be able to tell sex at hatch?
thanks! You are very correct. They just haven't completely dried off and fluffed up yet.
sounds like your previous dominant roo is now lower inbthe pecking order and your bantam is now dominant.
What Birdhaven said. Just that time of year. At least you were getting eggs. A light should help.
o and not that it matters but it is wheaten with an e not an o. Just thought i would tell you incase you decide to post something in the ameraucana thread. Some people over there get pretty angry over mispellings like that even though it isnt a bug deal
Egg production also has dropped. Do you think it might be because of the change in the pecking order?
Yeah it's autocorrect. I try to change it but it keeps going to that :/
i hate autocorrect. I dont know why that makes them so mad just wanted to make sure you knew incase you posted, dont want you to get chewed out
someone mentioned slowed egg production a few posts ago. Changed in weather, shorter days, and molting. I cant think of anyway pecking order eould decrease egg production although i have never thought about it
Good Evening everyone! I have been MIA for awhile- started a new job, kept my old job and grad school is kicking my butt.
My small flock is down to 7. I have my splash BLRW roo on CL for sale. Sold my straight combed BLRW roo and the other splash BLRW roo last night.
My SFH chicks turned out to be all pullets...what luck! They have much personality, that's for sure. My plans are to try to stick with the SFH as far as breed.
Here is a picture of one of our SFH pullets. Her name is Partridge and she is the friendliest girl
