INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

You are not that bad. My dream barn, which I have drawn my own blue prints out for, is 50 by 80 feet, I dont think i want to figure out how many birds could fit in it. As if it would ever happen though but I can dream! I think I need some of that therapy lol. I sure hope this doesn't get worse with age!
Okay yep you are worse!!!

If someone wanted to buy my little coops, I wouldnt turn them down though. I want at least the option for breeding areas.

I wouldnt have it all full of chickens. Imagine if you gave each chicken the recommended 4 sq feet. That would be 1000 chickens! I love chickens, but I would never have that many. Plus I woul give them more than 4 sq feet. Some of the barn would be storage. I like your coops, they look very nice! If you listed them on craigslist for a reasonable price I am sure you wouldnt have a hard time selling them

Renae45 ~ Welcome to the Indiana Thread! Please tell us about your flock. Kabhyper can tell you how to upload photos-- she's an expert! Haha!

Just joking. We love photos-- and they aren't limited to chicken photos.
My BR Tweedy has been limping slightly for a few days. She can put weight on it and get around, but her left leg is sore. I washed it off and looked for a bumble foot infection, but didn't see anything. I am guessing that maybe she had a bad landing or something like that because there is nothing visible. I might call the veterinarian tomorrow to see if she should take some metacam for pain. She of course isn't screaming or anything, but since she is limping, her leg must be hurting. Metacam is what my lavender orp took for her leg injury. I have the leg injury info that we've posted before, but if anyone has any input, please let me know. Thanks!
"Note" about Nene's piano lessons ~ Now that my house guests have left, I am planning on working with Nene tomorrow. I'm going to try sticking some cheese to the keys to get her to peck them instead of simply removing the treat without pecking the note.
I'm guessing that Renae45 just read that post about a piano-playing chicken and decided that this might not be the thread for her!

Btw I looked in the coop today and Cricket has grown a ton in a few days. He is as big as my hens and his mother at 11 weeks old!!! Should I be worried? Will he be the size of a german shepherd when he grows up????
