INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I think you posted that with the wrong quote... :lau  I have done it myself..

Bahahahahah. Well I'm very distracted AGAIN today. Everything is going wrong. My chicks aren't here and the first place we ordered our son's birthday present from canceled our order and then I ordered it somewhere else and paypal has it stuck on pending so I can't get it. I'm so frustrated.

I'm using zips myself.  I'm planning on turning my current run into a tractor once I have enough materials gathered to build a much larger fixed run.

I'm taking off a portion of my chain link fence as pginsber suggested. But I'm not sure I want them to have the whole yard so I'm thinking about blocking off some. Unfortunately I only have one gate on my chain link fence...though come to think of it I could simply move it. Hmmmmmmmmnmmmm.

He got here safely! Lavender barred bantam cochin!

I'm sorry, that really would be frustrating

Hope it all turns out ok in the end. I like paypal but it can get annoying with the way it works out sometimes. How old is your son? Sending him best Birthday Wishes

HELP - I'm a teacher in Indianapolis and we've planned a whole unit around hatching chicks but our source for the eggs fell through today. Does anyone know where I can get some eggs on the west side by Tuesday? We're scheduled to put them in the incubator then.
I have fertile eggs and I'm located in Mooresville. PM me if you are interested

That article totally creeped me out! LOL
Me too. Talking or reading about bugs just makes me itch to at least a couple of days.

Wow! Things have moved quickly for us in less than 48 hours. Mom had her assessment for nursing home qualification Monday morning, by Tuesday morning everything -- all paperwork -- was in the hands of the nursing home and they had a room assigned to her! Yesterday afternoon we moved her there. Dad is so relieved, but there's still a lot to be done yet this next month. At least we got this accomplished!
Congratulations.

Ever notice how the last two steps of a project take the longest?

I'm done with the build portion of my coop nee shed. All I have left is to clean up and sweep out. There's an impressive collection of sawdust, scrap wood, and power tools. Then purchase consumables and supplies, and I'm ready for chickens.

It could easily take me until Friday night to get these two things accomplished. Life with little kids is very, very busy.
The saw dust can stay. The chickens will like it. Little kids if they are the human kind, are great at picking up scrap wood and making their own building blocks out of them. Our son had too many, the scraps filled a giant tote. The majority of the scraps got burned a few weeks back.

@lajohnston I think I spoke to you on the phone today but if not I can add to the eggs Patrick has if you want a larger amount or a barnyard variety. I'm in Bargersville, not too far from Mooresville.
