INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

If it was internally pipped I would feel better about assisting. Since today is day 21 I'm not freaking out yet, but the rapid movement in there today was weird. I would have thought breathing, but the air cell wasn't pipped. Heart beat maybe? Idk I googled it but couldn't find anything. I'm also dealing with a little one who doesn't have his land legs yet. 3rd one out of about 25 to 30 chicks I have hatched that has had that. They usually come out of it on their own, but its still nerve wracking.

Layer ALERT!
So for the last week my new girls are just starting to lay.
I have an EE that's has been laying a pretty pastel jade color. Today, I find a blue egg...
That's not possible, right???
I have a Maran mix, could it be hers? She's a mystery bird from Brad S.
The others are a SLW and a Silver Sebright...
I'll try to get a photo tomorrow!

The eggs have to be coming from two different chickens. That is impossible for the EE to lay both. Now whos laying what is a good questions. I would say the marans mix would lay the green and the EE blue if those were the only two options

Ohhhhhhh, you could be right!
Only the 1 EE I have, has been in the box, religiously. I'm sure I watched her, from across the yard, laying her first egg. Her eggs started a sort of pale green, darkened a hare and then the last three have been identical in color. The shells are still sitting in my shell bowl. Definitely green.
The "Mix" has showed little to no interest in the egg boxes. I've seen her in both, but not for any length of time. I was hoping she would lay a more olive green or just a tan/brown egg. It could totally be hers though...
I have two mutty Cayugas, but their eggs are clearly grey, small like a chicken egg, and never in a box.
There is a silkie(chalky white egg) and my 3 Cochin sisters(peachy tan egg).
That's it...
I'm going to hoard my eggs all week and take a photo. If a blue and green egg show up in one day, than it'll have to be the mixed girl.

I honestly didn't think it would change color, but hey it's always good to check, right?

Mommas and babies. There is a little splash under the silkie, but she is still trying to figure out how to use her legs. And then of course the little egg that could under the Lavender. Will that cochin chick be okay with just mom and no brooder buddies? It will have to be integrated into the flock as a lone baby. :(
Sorry about the picture quality. Lavender is fiercely protective of her little one so trying for better pics is impossible right now.

Funny story I had to tell. I had this add on craigslist a few weeks ago and had some younger laying hens for sale. And I said I was asking $6. I had like 12 chickens listed. And someone wanted to know if I meant each or for all. I assumed it was self explanatory. Not going to sell a perfectly go laying hen for 50 cents lol.
