Haha, yeah, I'm with you there. I've had chickens for about 9 1/2 years now and Guineas for about 5 years, so I think I've got them covered. I will say, though, that you will never know everything about these guys, no matter how long you have them. They always find a way to totally throw you off!
I didn't notice it before this post, but it looks like I've gotten into a new species about every five years since I got chickens--wonder what I'll be into by year 15 of chickening...
Anyway, a few pictures of the day! I went ahead and called today the official 3-month-old day for my babies, so here they are at exactly 3 months old:
The Silver Gray Dorkings, Elda:
And Kit-Kit:
The Black Copper Marans, Georgette:
And Louise:
Mabel the Welsummer:
Poppy the Cream Legbar (so pretty

) :
Violet the Bielefelder:
The obligatory Elda Cuddles picture
Louise again because she is so pretty!

Those eyes of hers!
And to finish the post, here's Wibbles today at 4 days old.

It's not evident in this picture, but she's already so much bigger than she was just a few days ago! Ducks really do grow fast, don't they?
So, today's crisis with Wibbles was about a runny nose. Oh my goodness, runny noses are so bad with chickens, but I guess they're absolutely normal for ducks? That's what I got from some hurried research, anyway.

She would get a runny nose every once in a while after eating today, though, and so I would run her a warm bath and let her wash her face, and all would be good until the next time she ate and got feed up her nose.

This ducky is putting me through a lot of panic attacks!! Anyway, my next project for her is a deeper water dish so she can wash her face whenever she needs to, but can't fall in or swim unless I'm there to supervise.
