INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hi, we are on the south side of Indy & have had chickens for 6 days. I love Tumbles & her flock. I don't know anything about chickens, other than what I've read here so any help, advise would be great!! We have a flock of 8 laying hens all different breeds.
You can see their pics in "raising chicks" all of my posts there start with " Tumbles...."
Welcome to the Indiana thread Tumbles! Feel free to ask anything-- no question is too silly to ask. We're all learning, even the experienced members-- and there are several of those who live in the Indy area.

LOOK!!! It finally worked! I changed my avitar. An uploaded some pics into my album and didnt even have to go to mcdonalds and pay a stranger to help me. Although i was ready to. Lol Still not sure how to upload them in my posts though?
Hey!!! I'm so excited for you because I know how difficult it's been to get your phone and connections to cooperate! Your avatar automatically appears on your posts as you can see. Congrats! That's funny about McDonald's because I was going to suggest that you go somewhere like that with Wi-Fi.

A few pictures of my new roo from Joe and Martha Light. I love this guy and can't wait to see what he produces

Look at these amazing feet
My son thought it was a puppy with a beak. I heard him tell his sister ~ see puppies can have beaks too.
So my seabright died today for no apparent reason. No marks plenty of food and water. The other chicks with her are alive and well. What could be some reasons of the death? Could she have just been a "dud" ( only word I could think of) she was around 5- 6 months old.
no marks ~ maybe it was something it ate. All kinds of poison out this time of year. maybe a neighbor sprayed for weeds or bugs. maybe a rusty nail or screw allowed lead into a puddle that was drank from. Could there be an egg stuck, I lost a hen that way. Some bug bites can kill a chick, maybe too many bites would down a hen.
Seems kind of old to be getting a heart attack from over eating. The no marks makes me think it was not killed by another animal, especially not a large animal.

Ok so I have a chicken that I dont know what breed it is I'm on my phone so I cant upload but he's a Roo and I thought he was an EE but he's got no beard he has greenish legs his tail has 2 long feathers sticking up and a big puff ball at the end of them he has a pea comb and long legs his feather coloring is :whole body is red with black around the neck and the 2 long tail feathers and alil black in the body and orange around the tail. Does this anyone know what this breed sounds like??

Not sure 100% on it, I have the hen that was raised with my original flock, she is fine with them, The white hen that was not is ok also. My guinea boys, they only target my oldest rooster, Red, but Red wants to fight everyone

including me. (My Gander will pin him in 2 seconds flat if Red even looks at me.) Rebel, my Australorp, walks right by them with no problem. same with Butters, my silkie Roo, and Tank the CX Roo. All the young cockerels I have, no problems either. From what I have heard, it depends on the rooster, and seems to be the case here too.

Yes, I want to hatch and see if there's any health probs, then I will get serious about selling some. You get 1st pick
