INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I found a used Sportsman 1202 on craigslist this weekend and picked it up today. Tomorrow will be spent cleaning it all up and learning how to work it. Goodbye styrofoam Little Giants!! I am so excited to have found this incubator -- I love craigslist!!!! We had already decided to upgrade to a used Brower that we found, and then start saving for a cabinet. This let us just skip the entire middle step.

Brad if you remove the filter and cover part of the pan that should do it for you thanks for the compliments when you get ready for some langshans let me know i will hook you up

Haha, ok I'm really an idiot. The filter was removed but I didn't even think of covering part of the pan. I just found a smaller dish that is keeping at a good level. I will definitely hit you up when I'm ready!

Nice find! There is an Brinsea OvaEasy in the city I work. While its tempting, they still want $1000 for it :( I am really happy with the one I bought from rsutr101.

If anyone is looking for silkies, dark cornish, bantam ameraucanas, nankins, and many others, get in touch with LittleAmerauanaMom and SebrightMom of Heavenly Springs Farms! I had the pleasure of picking up some silkie and Cornish eggs (thanks for the Ameraucana eggs as well!) and fell in love with their birds!

Sally, if the Cornish develop, ill be sending you money!

:th 101 Eggs In Incubators !!!!!!!!!:th

haha! You are crazy! I think I'm between 5-6 dozen, but most are shipped. Not sure what to expect from them. I have 101 eggs in incubators!!!!! Is this crazy? I just got back from picking up 57 eggs for free from a guy in fort wayne. They are suppose to be all different breeds and fertile. I had to double stack some in one of my incubators. Has anyone had to do this before? I need another incubator. Guess i will have to try to build another one.

my babys are doing well :) just one question though sence we dont have a heat lamp on them (we've got a heater and a light on them) what can i put in their brooding to keep them warm? (we've got 5 in a medium size dog cage with landscaping tarp all around it and corn cob bedding in it with cardboard on the inside of it)

Hey guys,

I'm very sorry to have to come on and ask for help without an introduction. We are making a cross-country trip on Feb. 25 or 26th. We are bringing my gelding along with us and are desperately looking for a safe place for him to spend the night and relax before we begin the next leg of our journey. Does anyone know of a stable, vet or a safe fairground that might be able to keep him for the night while we sleep in a hotel nearby? We were thinking the Terre Haute area would be a good place?

Thank you all so much for any help!

Hi, I sure don't but maybe try contacting the Cooperative extension for terre haute (4H, etc) they should be able to help you locate someone/somewhere. Another thought is check online in a google search.

Is anyone near Terre Haute that can help or suggest anything?

Has anyone had to stack eggs in their incubator? I ran out of room because i wasnt expecting to get 57 eggs today just 32. I had to stack them on top of each other just to get them to fit in there. I really need another incubator FAST!!!! I think i will have to go out to garage and build another temp one. Im out of thermos tho. Here is a few pics of the eggs in just my cooler bator.

That is great, but now you have to FILL it. I can get 426 eggs in mine, if they are all bantams. !!!!
