Hope you are all safe and well from the flooding. Our neighbors right on Fall Creek lost their house trailer.
We stopped to check on them and the trailer had moved off its pillars, and even the propane tank was trying to float!
They were at a standstill, we offered them storage room for anything they needed and a dry place to park cars etc.
Or just come in, get warm, eat and dry out! I have a huge batch of chicken & veggie dumplings in the crock pot in case they want it.
DH told them anything needed pulled out of the mud we can bring the wench, tractor, trailer and the dually down.
My thoughts go out to so many families dealing with this at Christmas. We are high enough we just have big puddles.

My aunt Evelyn passed Sunday, My Dads oldest sister. She had the same heart valve disease as my Dad.
She was in hospice at home and in the care of our family, as it should be.
Love every moment you have with those most dear to you, you do not know what tomorrow may bring.
I won't be online the next few days, I want to wish all my good friends here Merry Christmas

Wishing ALL of you VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY,HEALTHY and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!! Thank you all for allowing me to be a distant part of your Indiana Chicken Family! This room/thread/ forum ( whatever you want to call it) has become a necessary and important part of my day. May God bless you all!

I will not have access to the computer for a while as I am taking a stay-cation and thoroughly cleaning my house while grooming is slow.

I want to tell all my new friends at BYC Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Kwanza, and Happy New Year!!

Thank you everyone for your encouragement and help this first year of chickens for me!

Be safe and warm!!!

Connie and the masses at the Williams house!!!

I got some of Brad's birds. They are lovely. My children are calling them the Christmas Chickens. For now they are living in a spring tractor in our attached garage. The large rooster has been named Lafayette after the french man from the US revolution. Amazing what children can learn from PBS cartoons. That leaves a pullet and 2 roosters to get names. These are going to be the pet chickens for my children until the roosters get territorial at least.
Thanks to everyone who helped me get these chickens just in time for my children's Christmas.
