My daughter wants to know if Silkies can be integrated into an established LF flock. My preliminary research suggests that they don't do well as an addition, and tend to be bullied or attacked by the other birds.. I'm curious if raising them together gets better results, or if the other LF birds will still pick on the silkies.
The follow-up question is, has anyone here ever built a coop into a garage? My concern is the noise of a car pulling in and out every other day or so. it's not a loud car, but would that still be too much stress on the birds? I'm thinking probably so.
I suppose option three is to build a silkie tractor....
Option four, no silkies at all, is still on the table. But honestly, I think they look like fun. :-D

One blue one white. The blue has a crooked beak, so she looks a bit special needs but eats just fine! Both came from brad but I'm worried about how they will do out in the coop by themselves this winter so a home that can keep them warmer this winter would be better.
