INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

The Little House books are still one of my favorite things in the world. I'll be honest, it's part of the reason I have chickens.
I love them too! I grew up on the books & the TV show (I still sometimes watch the reruns if nothing else is on) -- thought it would have been great fun to be Laura

I'm in awe of both you you.  My garage has too much junk in it to put any cars in. Definitely not enough room for a coop AND cars.

Our garage fits 2 cars just fine. But they never leave the garage. The are project cars. Luckily they leave just enough space in the garage for the extra engine and engine hoist:barnie

That's why we bought a house with a detached "shop"! ;) it was a selling point! Thankfully the only thing in there right now is a tractor that only runs part of the time and our farm truck!

if the cars are running will the fumes kill the chicks?  when i have babies in my brooders ( in the barn, i always worry about starting the mower or car in there.

If your leaving them running in there yea, but that's not good for you either! ;)

I wouldn't think starting something just long enough to back it out would be a problem.

There's a fella in Corydon who has birds of all kinds. He's who I got my keets from. If you don't mind meeting him at TSC in Corydon, I'm sure you can get by with just a couple of keets. The two he sold me have turned into a beautiful royal purple pair, one M one F. I actually hope I might have keets next year, myself, although I didn't buy them to breed them. PM me and I will give you his email.
That would have been great but for being 179 miles from me. I thank you for the info. does your friend ever go to Louisville? DH is a trk. driver for a local feed and seed, he goes down there almost once a week. But he is in a co. trk so a detour that big would be noticed.

The main reason I'm getting rid of my tolbunt roo

The bruise is about a week old now. Looks better than it did, but if don't put in with aggressive animals.

I totally understand your wanting to part with him. I have a very aggressive WC Polish rooster that is very mean. I've gotten to the point that I don't even like feeding him anymore because he goes after my hands and arms every time. Actually going to be getting rid of him this weekend. Maybe he won't be so mean to new people.
