I raised NZ in my younger days ... Always wanted to raise "full circle", my Hubby encouraged me and had a good things going but then we relocated to the Mainland and sold off the "business"... I sold bunnies/rabbits, meat, poop & skins.Love to see the chicken folks come the aid of a sweet rabbit! Kudos to all!
We had one rabbit - Rosita a giant Flemish. She escaped one day, inevitably stuck around. She was a pet and roamed the property. My wife who is a garden freak wouldn't even get upset when she would stop in and eat the cabbage, lettuce, etc. We loved her litters of babies and she was such a joy.I raised NZ in my younger days ... Sadly, she was eventually hit by a car and we were absolutely deviststed. But to date, amongst dogs, cats, goats, chickens and everything else, she was my favorite animal we ever had.![]()

How's he doing? We managed to get it flushed and the outer skin came off unexpectedly. That ended up being a good thing of course. As it let us really clean it and get a very good look at things.
i'll post a picture of it cleaned in a bit. The part that came off was rock hard and has scabs on it. He also has acne type spots on the other side of his face.
his dad has the same thing on both sides of his face and the vet cant figure it out and it never responded to antibiotics. But its also never progressed to anything.

Poor guy.thanks for asking!
He was doing really well, but it's still working on healing. Somehow or other it's decided to leech pus. But at least its draining well.
