Infection?!?!

I have a silkie rooster I just rescued and he has this burn/infection type of thing on he belly...what should I do for him? I have been putting Neosporin on it. One of my barred rock hens has it too, in the exact spot. I don't know what is is or what to do. Please help!

Does it look kind of like red scaly patches?

Well, he has dark skin and this thing is red on the outside and white on the inside kinda oval shaped. Very bald right there too.

I don't think its infection... My roo has the same thing and has had it for years.. Possibly just part of his anatomy?

If it is on the breast area, it could be a breast blister from lying on his breast bone on the ground. Those can get infected with staph or strep germs and form an abscess sometimes. I would clean it with iodine, and watch for signs of abscess.

How can I stop them from getting it again if I can get it to heal?
