Inflatable Christmas (or other holiday) yard decor

I don't like them...

Especially when people put them in their front yard so thick you can't walk through them. To each their own, I guess.

ETA if it makes little kids smile, they can't be all bad.

What I think is ugly are those perfectly manicured sterile yards

I personally dont care for the blow ups just because of their cost and that they all seem deflated.

I like the old fashioned painted scenes and hope someday to beable to do some, have the patterns just not the money for the wood.

I guess I'm part griswold also, got my inside so that it almost looks like a forest, with lots and lots of other stuff sitting around, didnt have enough room so had to put a couple of items on franks computer and printer and also his lamp.

Have an angle on my lamp, snowmen on my computer and printer. I paint and frank carves and we both like old xmas stuff, so it has taken me about 2 weeks to get things set up inside and hopefully in a day or two I can start on the outside. light bill here we come. lol

We have 7 of the inflatables, my favorite is a 12' tall Santa that we got last year.

I guess we're a little like the Griswolds, too because we also have blowmolds, lighted tinsel animals, animated ones, wooden decorations that I made, etc. I try to add something new every year to the collection. Last year's additions were some of my favorites, a chicken with chicks, a goose with goslings, and the santa. This year, so far all I've added is an LED peacock and new lights. We have 6 acres to spread everything out on, so it's not all jumbled together.

It's something that the whole family really looks forward to every year, and a lot of people in town bring their kids by to see the decorations. We usually start putting everything out the first week in November. This year, we were late getting started and a little late lighting up. Just about everyday, we had someone calling or asking us when we went to town when we were going to have all the decorations put out so they could drive by.
