Injured chick advice needed please

I really need to get video of the way Bumpers walks so you can see it. I hate describing it this way, because I don't want to offend anybody, but she walks like a chicken would if a chicken had cerebral palsy. That should give you a very clear picture of her gait. She can't fly at all. But she does really well and has adapted. When the rest of the chickens start to go in the pen she will actually stand next to it and yell for me to come get her by crooning loudly. It's totally adorable. And any time they're free ranging and she feels threatened or exceptionally tired, she comes up and sits on the porch and clucks until I come out to see her.

Now that I think of that... I'm building them a new pen, which is farther away. When she adapts to the new coop, I won't be able to hear her. Maybe I should install a baby monitor...

See, you don't have a monopoly on worrying about a beloved chookie!

Thanks kyzmette I feel not so alone :)
When you were nursing her did she become reliant. ? Pudding will eat or drink really well if it's put under her nose...
Today I fed her well this morning and before bed when I took her to the baby coop but during the day I left her to it in the garden with her food close by. She didn't eat or drink from her bowls but she did eat leaves and grass and stuff. She sits a lot to eat mostly. I think it will take the flock a long while to accept her and that's fine I will keep trying. I just wish she would get up and go to her food.

Your bumpers sounds amazing !! Aren't they clever. She knows to call you - what a little monkey :)
Bless her, she gives me hope. As do you :)
Thanks again - your a star xxxx

This is Pudding today being king if the castle !! She limps badly but she can easily get to her food and water and jump up onto things as you can see.
She is very much an accepted member of the flock now and is best friends with Rice one if the silkies pictured with her ;)

It has taken months to get her to this stage but it is so rewarding to see her ability and confidence grow.
Although I don't need to feed her anymore I still give her an evening treat. She comes when I call her and is a real lap chicken hehe ! It's amazing the bond that forms.

Again I would like to say thank you to all those who helped me and encouraged me.

Love to all
Shabana x

I am soooooo happy to see this Pudding update!! I've thought of writing on this thread a few times, but when you don't hear an update, you don't know if things took a wrong turn and don't want to upset someone if that's the case.

Anyway, yay Princess Pudding! I just love happy endings.

HELP 5 of my chicks have these bubble like things on their feet. What is it???
They can hardly work on them. PLEASE PLEASE help

Is it possible they are burns? Do you have any wire in brooder that may be hot from heat lamp and that the chicks are standing on?

Ok yeah well my whole bottom of my brooder is all wire.
But the ones with bubbles are inside. When I woke up this morning some of the bubbles had popped.
