I'd also just use a triple antibiotic. Hope he does well.

The triple antibiotic will keep it lubed and hopefully when swelling goes down will help it to retract. How is he this morning?

He's a lot more active than he was yesterday, and the swelling has gone down a little. I'll give him another bath today and put some ointment on it.

If you can regularly, frequently clean and apply antibiotics, and keep his nutrition as good as possible, there is hope.

I feed him Nutrena NatureWise All Flock 18% pellets. Is there anything else I should add for better nutrition at this time?

Do you have poultry vitamins? They are good for stressful times.

I do not. What should I give him? Someone recommended nutri drench, but it's a little pricey and hard to get for me. If anyone has any nutri drench or other poultry vitamins, I would be happy to take a look into buying it.

I buy powdered vitamins, a little goes a long way. And Nutri Drench is good for many things at the same time I think it does not have as many vitamins as a poultry multi vitamin has. Wish we were closer, I could give you some.

That's very kind. Thanks for the advice, we found a local feed store that sells vitamins and electrolytes for poultry. I gave him a bath and the swelling has definitely gone down since yesterday.

Great news.. keep using the triple antibiotic too it will help it go back in when time.
