Do you leave your ducks out over night? I hope if you do you’ll decide that isn’t such a good idea any longer. Sounds like he’s coming back especially eating and quacking. Healing should happen pretty quick just watch for infection.

I don't typically, but I was preoccupied and when I had a chance to look up it was dark. Sunset is usually my cut off point.

This boy is honestly too smart for his own good. It's currently 5am for me and I heard some knocking coming from his current nest and he has managed to get out of his bandages. I rewrapped him so he won't pick overnight and I can hear him pulling at the bandages again as I type.

Well that’s at least a good sign he is doing better. Lol hope he doesn’t pick too much at his wounds

He's had a serious lecture, I'm hoping he will think it over and won't unravel himself too much before the sun rises.

He's doing much better today, he's up and moving and eating a lot. He's still walking with his body kinda perpendicular rather than horizontal like normal, but I think it may be because his back is hurting. He's very upset about not being able to get to that area and is still Houdini'ing his way out of the wraps.

So I take it the lecture didn't help lol But happy to hear he is doing so much better. They really are amazing. Wounds looking good too I hope?

His back is looking good, the edges are already starting to heal. I just don't understand why he's trying to preen that area, it looks so painful.
