We took him out to see his flock and he started crowing! It brought tears to my eyes. He's eating and walking now. Tight circles, but he walks!
It sounds like he may have some neurological damage, but hopefully he keeps improving! If he's still struggling to get around and continues to do the circling/head down motions I would make him an indoor pet. The other chickens may pick on him.

Hope he feels better soon! ❤️

Thank you! I hope he gets better soon, too! He is able to lift his head more after seeing his flock, but he still has a bit of balance issues.

Final Update on my Kitkat:
He is now reunited with his flock, and the main rooster with all the ladies. He's happy and back to his old self! We believe he had a concussion, and are so thankful that he pulled through it. He is the best boy, and so sweet.

I’m thrilled this story has a happy ending and hope the roo’s don’t continue to fight. I just made a post about my roo’s fighting and one getting injured. Read through this thread looking for any suggestions folks may have had. We won’t be keeping the instigator of this fight, he will be rehired to avoid another incident.
