My chicken almost had her wing ripped off last night. Can I give her shot of penicillin to prevent infection? If so how much?

You can also give her some aspirin for pain, I believe the ratio is 5 tablets per 1 galleon of water

It's a standard Barred Rock anout 3 - 4 months old. We put her in a box with pine shavings, food, and water.

I wouldn't use penicillin unless you see evidence of infection. Did you clean the wound well? Did you cut the feathers around it so it doesn't get dirty and smear some sort of ointment over the exposed flesh so that it doesn't dry out and heals faster?

There are a few different types, but the cheap one (the one sold at TSC that's not just for cattle) is Procaine G.
Dose is .25 CC of PROCAINE G (300,000 units) penicillin SQ or IM (I prefer SQ, it's less painful; others prefer IM because it's faster-working) for four successive days.

EDT: That's for chickens under ten pounds.
