Injury on bottom of foot

So far what have you done? and this isn't a fast way to treat but sure beats cutting. I waited 7 days before I was able to get the last bumble out of my duck.

I have done all Epsom salt soaks. I have used colloidial silver and vetericyn.

Today I did a 20 minute Epsom salt soak, then dipped a cotton ball in hot water and put castor oil on it. Then I put vetericyn and castor oil on a gauze pad and wrapped. I'm leaving it until tonight. She was quacking this morning and was hungry and thirsty. I have water with Apple cider vinegar in it and some with electrolytes and I rotate them. She also tried running from me, silly duck can't even walk.

Next on the list is the clear iodine.....I'm trying to avoid the cutting I really am.

It takes longer to do it this moderate approach but I think it's easier on both of us when we do. The last bumble my Runner had did not present it self like any bumble I have treated before. It was a large lump on the bottom of the web. I had never seen a bumble like it I actually took her to the vet where she confirmed it was bumble put her on antibiotic and meloxicam after 7 days I took a scalpel and opened up the lump the bumble popped out and hit me in the neck. It was ready. The incision was small and after a week of putting antibiotic ointment on it and wrapping it was all healed. This is what Pearls looked like.

So just be patient have you tried pulling the scab off?

I have tried pulling the scab off but I feel like I'm irritating it more.

Then just give it more time when it's ready it will come off. then you can get the bumble out and she'll be on the road to recovery.

my hens have had that. They can die from it. You have to do sergery!! We did it. 2 of mine did.

Update-day 3
Pictures in order from day 1 to day 3. I can't tell if it's looking better. I feel it has shrunk quite a bit, but it is still hard and not getting soft.

Until you get that bumble out it’s not going to heal.

And I thought it was after one soak...ugh

So I should soak several times a day for a couple days then try to remove scab?

When you wrap it, make sure you go through the webbing, and loosely...after my ducks heal well from this treatment and are ready to take offf the Bandage, I always spray with BluKote to help make sure it’s got a nice seal from germs
