Injury to ear lobe, could this stop a rooster from crowing?

I have posted before about my favorite blue Andalusian Pippy, who has now turned into a rooster! Now Pippy is Pepe le Roo. I Didn't plan on it and neighbors are not happy so I'm rehoming him, but I noticed today that one of his ear lobes has a hole in it. It looks like one of the other hens, or the other accidental rooster sliced it with its beak. There is not blood, but I've noticed Pepe twitching it's head more and I don't think it's crowed in over 24 hrs. Could a punctured ear lobe cause hearing problems or cause him to stop crowing? Maybe it's wishful thinking but I'm also curious if this will cause problems in the future.
