Droppings board covered in vinyl is so nice. Moveable roosts.

I started out last year with a 6 x 8 quaker style coop with dog panels for the run . Then of course went on ( just this summer ) to getting my husband to build me a 20 x 50 lean-to on one of the horse barns . That was not an easy task as he has been resisting this chicken thing . We put a dumptruck load of sand in , which I love . I am re-working the roost and just stuck the nests in . It is sectioned off and has three gates , now I need to put up my new clear plastic tarps . Yeah ! Will I ever be done ?

I got all my ideas from this chicken board .

I can answer that. Yes, it is called shade cloth. I have a whole roll of it that I have not used yet. I bought mine here (when it was on sale really cheap): http://www.3tproducts.com/shop/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=22

Hello, I love it!
We are building a 4x8 also but 8 feet tall. Can you tell me how many chickens you have and what is the length of your roost?

We have eight hens. We have two roosting bars -- one is the width of the coop (4') and is over the nesting boxes. The other is "L" shaped and about 3' by 2', and is lower. For a while, all eight tried to fit on the 2' section of the lower bar. Now, all eight use the longer higher bar.
